INTERNSHIPS

College Students

The IAWH Internship program is helping to develop the next generation of young adult leaders who will advance women’s health and wellness.

Interested in an Internship?

Interns are responsible for assisting with the development and execution of IAWH initiatives and programs and assisting with administrative work, as assigned. Such work may include developing and publishing our monthly and sometimes bi-weekly electronic newsletter, developing messages from evidence-based sources for posting to social media platforms, authoring or editing blogs and essays, arranging meetings, and other duties as assigned. Interns who complete the internship will have a better understanding of women’s health, issues important to women and girls, and the many operations of a nonprofit organization.

Successful interns must have a demonstrated interest in women’s health, excellent written and oral communication skills, pay careful attention to detail, and must be able to work independently, as part of a team, and remotely using virtual meeting platforms. They must be proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, have previous experience with social media platforms, and demonstrate a willingness to be creative in the expression of evidence-based messages for the public.

The unpaid IAWH internship is open to current undergraduate students, and those who have graduated within the past 6 months, of all disciplines/majors. The number of hours committed to work can be flexible in order to accommodate student class schedules.
